CITATION

Poet, teacher and editor, Leeladhar Jagoori was born in Dhangan gaon in Tehri Garhwal in 1944. He took his M.A. in Hindi and has had a varied professional career working as a soldier in Garhwal Regiment, as teacher in schools and colleges, as Deputy Director in State Information .and Public Relations Department, UP. and is presently Chief Editor of Uttar Pradesh a monthly magazine. He has published nine books of poetry so far and has specially written two books for Adult Literacy. Honours and awards conferred on him include Raghuvir Sahai Samman, Shatadal Award of Bhasha parishad, Namit Puraskar and Aakashwani National Award.
